Howzit all,

Just had to share one small kine story with da gang.  A friend that I hadn't seen in along time dropped by the office the other day. Recently while hunting pigs, he ran across fresh sign and started poking around. All of a sudden piglets started running past him. For some reason----- I don't know why, Mike reached down and snatched one up. (BIG MISTAKE). As you can imagine, little porky pig started squealing. When Mama caught sight of her piglet being kidnaped, all hell broke loose. Mike dropped the piglet and took off running down the trail wtih Mama in hot pursuit. (It happend so fast he forgot to pick up his bow!). Mike managed to get ahold of a mango branch to escape Mama. Unfortunately before he could pull himself above Mama, she grabbed ahold of his heel and shook him violently. After awhile which according to Mike seemed forevas, she let go and took off down the trail with her piglets.  Mike said it was one of the most scaryist things in his life! I couldn't stop laughing as he told me the story.  I still chuckle everytime I think about it.

Lessons learned; don't tick off da Mama---any Mama. Universal law eh?

Personally I will backtrack out if I see little ones scurrying around. No need to come face to face with Mama. I'd rather face a boar than a sow with piglets anyday.

Aloha,

      Mark

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

When I was seven years old or so I did the same thing at my grandfathers with a chick. I learned instantly what "Mad as a wet hen" meant. I forgot to drop the chick and the hen rode my tail to the house. My grandfather laughed until I thought he would pass out. Gosh I miss him.

Saw my grandpa hurdle a barbed wire fence about for and a half feet tall. He had a piglet under each arm. Edwin Moses did not have a thing on him coming out of the hog lot. This was a regular occurance, some of those sows would eat the young, so it was kind of a rescue effort sorta, really more of a dont loose your proffits!! And these were domestic hogs! I could only imagine how scared Mike was!!  :eek:    :biglaugh:
Pick a spot.>>>>-------> Shoot straight.
