I shoot 11/32" arrows with Classic nocks. I purchased a custom string about a year ago which fit the nock like a glove. The string appears to still be great though the serving is rather thin. I have read the TJ Conrads method of putting new serving on which I can easily do but then my nocks are a little loose. Do I need thicker serving string or is there a different method I am unaware of. I would rather not put the nocks in boiling water and squeeze them tighter.  :banghead:

I double-served my string to fit the larger throated nocks.

Butts, yes, serving material does come in different thicknesses...  Off the top of my head I know of .018,.022, .026, and .030 and that is just the diamondback type serving..

I just do a small serving where the nock fits.  Dental floss or a short piece of serving.  Keep it simple. dino

When I order a G-string I tell Bobby what Im shooting for nocks and they fit perfect...PR

all the methods will work but double serving, floss over etc equals double trouble as far as I am concered.  seving can slip one their own, two is double the problems.  Nothing beats a single well served center serving.  getting the right diameter serving or changing thread count of string is cheap insurance when ya are a long way from home and the hunting is good  :)

If the nock fit is only slightly off adjusting tension on your serving tool will make the difference. Less tension will make a thicker serving.
