I can't really shoot a whole lot right now on account of my elbow, so I wanted to get my carbons finished.

Here goes; I just bought the long 100gr. brass adapters for my Beman ICS Bowhunter shafts to get more weight up front and use the same weight BH's and field points, but they do not fit snugly. Also the threads go all the way to the top so there is no room for a normal head of any kind to fit in them because on a normal head there is the part that extends from the top of the shaft, the solid part that goes down in the insert and then the threads.

My question is; Would I just use a lot of glue to set the inserts in right and put them down deeper in the shaft? If I don't put them deeper in then there will be the solid part of the head or field point sticking out above the tip of the shaft, because the insert is threaded at the same diameter all the way to the top...   :help:

That insert is designed to sit about a 1/2 inch inside the shaft. The none threaded portion of your shaft will then be covered by the arrow. Look at your first pic and that is how far the insert will be in the arrow.  As for how snug they fit I dont shoot the ICS as I am using the FMJ. They both have the same insert though. If they are really loose I would not use them Also you want to double chect to make sure that you have the right insert to match your arrows.

Looks to me like those are the brass HIT inserts for the Axis style arrow. The ICS inserts shout be shaped the same as the standard insert and allow the shank of the tip to fit inside it.

Yes those look like HIT inserts designed for Axis/MFX small diameter arrows. You need the standard 5/16" carbon size inserts, they come in 50 and 100 grs..

This is absolutely correct.  You've got the wrong inserts, they're for the Beman MFX shafts or Easton Axis series.

The Beman ICS series use the same inserts as the GT/CX, so a .245 insert is what you need.
