Hunting suggestions in NC in November
« on: October 14, 2008, 08:19:00 AM »
I will be working in Raleigh area the first 3 weeks of November.  Does anyone know of a good place to hunt in the area?  Thanks for any help you can offer.

There are some good game land areas around Raleigh,  Butner-Falls lake game lands, Jordan Lake Game lands, and Sharron Harris Lake game lands.  All within 30 mins of downtown Raleigh.

I've hunted Jordan and Harris GL before but never Falls.  There are alot of deer on all of these. I know jordan and harris are hunted alot on Saturdays.  Best chances is to find small tracks of GL, as they will not be as crowded.

PM me and I can give a specific spot if you would like.  Very small piece,  butts up to a hunting club my uncle is in.  I used to hunt it alot.  Always seen some deer.  Took a buddy Thanksgiving morning serveral years ago a he missed the "biggest deer of his life"  according to him.

Sorry it's taken so long.  Thanks for the information.  I am going to look over it the next couple of days and probably pm you then.  Thanks again.
