I'm trying to get my longbow tuned. Should I set brace height to quietest first or set my string nock first? Thanks

I thank a good place to start is with a masking tape temp nock point.  start shooting things in. if it is a new bow/new string, I like to get my string settled in before I start serious tuning.

Yep go with the sweetspot on the brace heigth then work your nock point.  Sometimes it a little of both.  Then you can go to work on getting the right arrows flying correctly.

I like to set my brace height first then the nock height.  Get the brace height where the bow is quietest, and with the least amount of vibration.  Once this is done I pick the correct spine arrows, and begin to tune my bow to shoot center target.  You should have already had arrows picked out before this point.

I don't worry much about nock left or right as I do point of impact.  To me point of impact is most important.  Hope this helps........

It's also a good idea to have some arrows weaker and stiffer in spine than the correct arrow from the chart you use, and several different weight tips as well.  Once done jot all your measurments down for future referance......
