Well, my first wood arrows.  Nice tapered shafts from Bob Walker, footed them for length with Reparows, some nice OneStringer wraps, points and feathers from The Nocking Point..... a little time and effort.

Then this!!!!!!!!  :knothead:

That is repairable! Gring a long bevel to the damages area and match the bevel with another piece of shaft. Glue and wrap the splice, retaper for a nock and you are good to go. I have used this repair on a few arrows(some with reinforced self nocks)and never had one fail.
  Good shooting BTW.     Pat

Hey Bob,

When a guy shoots as well as you do, he's gotta expect to damage an arrow from time to time!!!

Nice goin' Bob!

Hey, what spine did you end up with?

Eric:

They are 85-89 with 145g points + walnut reparows on the tip.  Total arrow weight is 825+/-.  They may still be a touch stiff, and I want to find some in the 80-84 just to see what happens.  I may try 160's on point weight to see what they do too, but I mostly just want to shoot some.

With the long draw, even the slightest imperfection is really magnified - just like my golf swing (or lack of - LOL).  But when it all comes together, man-oh-man is it a thing of beauty!

You make meat with that Shrew yet?  I still have to wait for the 19th......  :banghead:
