FYI...
Just talked to Shawn Leins, from 3-rivers and he was telling me that the screw-in 125grn woodsman should be coming out in the next two to three weeks. I told him when it does, to post that info on tradgang.
thanks,

That's great news.    :)   I shoot the 150 grain screw-in since I use aluminum arrows. I had wished for a 125 screw-in and I'll be looking forward to buying a package of them.

Yeah, what he said.
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

I agree with OL and the others who want them heavier.  Been wanting a 160-190 glue on since they first came out.    :help:

It's called "buy a heavy adapter and glue them in".   ;)

Dave Pagel

I would love a 160 or heavier glue-on too for my wood arrows.

That is awesome.  I cant wait to get a dozen or so.  I have been shooting 125 grain thunder heads on my aluminums.  They are a good head but I like my WW much better.  I will keep an eye on the web site to see when they are avalible.  Thanks for the heads up.

That doesn't work so well if you shoot real wood arrows.  I don't want something I have to add to or adapt.  I want it right from the start.  All it would take is a heavier gauge steel, or just lose the vents.

True, but O.L asked, "Where are the 160-300 grain screw-ins?". He didn't ask about glue-on heads.

Paging through just one catalog I see screw-in adapters weighing 26, 32, 42, 75, 100, and 125 grains. With a regular 125-grain glue-on Woodsman, folks have the ability to create screw-in Woodsmans weighing 151, 157, 167, 200, and 225 grains. If we consider insert weight, we can go as high as 350 total grains up front.

Using glue-on heads without the luxury of insert and/or adapters is, of course, a different story entirely.

Razorcaps can be had in 200 grains. With a 100 grain insert I can get 300 grains but find that that would require buying new shafts to get them to shoot well.

Got to agree with Guru we need a heaverier glue on!

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

I was planning to try the WW this year, until I found out they only come in 125 as glue-ons. I went back to the 160 Snuffer instead. I use wood shafts exclusively, so adapters don't help.

Every body talks about sleeving carbons.
You can sleeve a wood shaft with aluminum as well. They ain't purdy but they work.

I sleeve mine after they break. They continue to be a great small game and stump shooting arrow. The sleeve allows me to screw in what ever I want to shoot.

That being said, heavy duty WW glue-ons would be great.

The 125s will be a great addition. Lots of guys will try them, including myself.
If it's in your way, move it.

For those of you interested in heavier glue ons, the Woody Weights work fantastic.
