I took a break from being in the shop to play with a few bows that showed up.  First up was a 60" BW SAII.  Smooooooth bow, but the grip just isn't for me.  Good thing, since it's on the way to Rutland.

Next up was a '98 Bear TD with #1 limbs, 50#.  Nice shooting bow, but the real reason I traded for the handle was to put a set of #2 RER limbs on it.  After removing one of the screws and finding a string that would work here's my First volley at 20 yards!  :D

Almost enough to make me forget I was supposed to be catching up on some shop time and wasn't in the woods chasing deer.

Alittle low aren't ya?   :D    "[dntthnk]"

I like those RER limbs on the Bear, I shoot one a friend had, very smooth and quick!

Considering the nock point on that string is set for a '58 Grizzly, those were the first shotts and the shelf is higher than I'm used to, I think a little low is fine! Besides, deer always drop at the shot right?  ;)

I did grab a two hunting arrows and sure enough, the broadheads grouped below the fieldpoints.  I'll twist a TS1 string in my free time and see what the bow can really do.  Also in my free time (you know, next Spring or so) I'll modify the riser to suit me better... I couldn't bring myself to modify the Supreme, so I traded for this combo.

I like the RER limbs!  Definitely more oomph than the Bear limbs!  The limb tips are considerably more forward than on the Bears - about 2"!  The alignment hole was off just enough on the limbs that I had to remove the screw from the riser... the limbs fit on the A riser I have here just fine.

Judging by how many deer were moving across the roads this afternoon, there are a lot of sloppy bowhunters in the woods opening day!

That's a wad of cedar there, Jeremy! Good luck- I sure wish I could get Kevin to make me a set of those in #1 length.                  Grant

Ok, who really shot that group?  :saywhat:
Nice shooting man! Great looking bow too. I think I have a line on a few bears that are newer.
Deer were all over around here today too...whats the moon phase?
I have to wait until mid October to chase em though. Good luck when you get out there.
