Awesome bows, unique grips.Very well built product and always quick.I do not own one but I have shot many and they were always impressive.

HATCHCHASER

Fast, quiet and well made.  The Fedora's are good folk.  It will just me a matter if you like the grip or not.
It's not the arrival, it's the journey.

I don't have a recurve,but I do have a Fedore Xtreme longbow and It's a great shooting bow.

I have one of their r/d xcellerators and a 560 takedown. Both shoot great, no complaints whatsoever and I really like the grip. Sets you up for consistent hand placement. The only compliant I have read of is (as mentioned above) that some people aren't keen about the grip.

GG

I've got a 560 one piece. Very consistant grip. Good lookin' bows too.

Ian, didn't you have a Micuta recurve?  I haven't shot one of Ed's bows but I know he puts a thumbrest on them like the Fedora's.  Might be a similar in feel as well as looks.  I supspect someone could expound on this a little.

i cant get over how fast it is

yes I loved the grip on my mikuta, but the poundage was way too light, so I traded it, still a great bow though

Fedoras are GREAT people and make an AWESOME product, alot of bowyers learned from mike there are alot of look alikes but the fedora in the hand is alot better bow, you cant go wrong with them!!!!!!

Not being negative.  Just giving you my opinion.  I had a 560 TD hunter.  Grip was fine for me, although some of my friends that shot it couldn't get used to it.  Overall I would rate it's performance average at best compared to other custom bows in regards to speed.  Drew fairly smoothly, but nothing overall impressive.  IMHO.

Fedora's are great bows.  My personal opinion. Each one is custom built, so the grip on each bow is built to fit your hand.  Go to their web site and you will see, part of you ordering one is providing a outline of your hand.  So, that being said it is understandable that not everyone will like the grip, because it may not feel comfortable to them, either being to small to large or just not liking the thumb rest.  I ordered one in Feb and received it in June.  I spoke with Mike personally when I ordered it, they are great people to work with and he wants to make sure he provides you with exactly what you want.  Fast, Custom and no CNC's.

If possible, I suggest you shoot a bow before you buy. What one person thinks is the best bow in the world, the next guy hates it. We buy and sell a ton of bows, I have bought used Widows, Fedoras, Morrisons, etc that were less than a month old, some less than 2 days old. They are all good bows, guys pay a lot of money for a bow based on the reputation and cosmetic appearance, but do not like it when they get it. Some bow makers tiller their bow different than others, makes them shoot or feel  different than other bows. I know you can not always shoot one first, but if you can, do it, it might save you a bunch of money.
