Western SD here we come!!!

We just found out our plans to move to the Custer,SD area has been approved! We will leave Southern IL the third week of Oct, so much for all the time and $ spent scouting this past summer. We cannot wait!! If anyone has any advice for a couple of flat-landers relocating to 5000+ ft we would greatly appreciate it.

Lots of great deer hunting in the Black hills. you will love it there

Custer is a really neat town, even if a bit touristy in the summer. Great deer and turkey hunting, good fishing, lots of National Forest land. I bet you will like it. Good luck!

Lots of trad shooters in that area. There is a shoot on wed nights in hot springs (down the road from custer).

The hills are nice, but the wide open plains are a very short drive away also.

I'm about an 1.5 hrs south of there.
