That is awesome! wish my wife was more interested.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Whump Sez; I am afraid my wife would fall down and let the bow go off---while walking behind me.      Hunt safe.

My wife and I have been shooting together for 30 years.  It is one of the things we enjoy doing together.  She usually out shoots me too. She also loves to hunt and is really into it. Last year she ran the Cabela's card up buying new matching Camo, etc...
Damn Nice guy

My wife came out and videod a hunt ONCE, but I don't think she will do it again without a major bribe! She isn't much on hunting, but I get to go whenever I like if I help out around the house first.

THANKS ALL,I,M LOOKING FORWARD TO TEACHING HER AS I KNOW THAT THIS WILL HELP ME WITH KEEPING IN TOUCH WITH THE BASICS AND ENJOY TIME WITH CAT AT THE SAME! I REALLY HAVE BEEN BUSY WITH SHOOTING,SHARPENING HEADS,ECT... AS I ALWAYS DO JULY THROUGH TO THE START OF OUR HUNTING SEASON! SHE DOES GO WITH ME ON SCOUTING TRIPS THOUGH, CAT HAS NO DESIRE TO HUNT BUT HAS MY BACK AND UNDERSTANDS MY PASSION FOR BOWHUNTING! I'M VERY A LUCKY MAN! I'LL POST HOW THE LESSONS GO,THIS WILL BE FUN!!

Wife and I have been shooting together for 35 yrs.  I am as lucky as I can be.

Wellsir, just be careful!  The first time I took my wife shooting, her second arrow Robin Hooded the first one. She asked, "what was so tough about THAT"?

Shameful, really, but we're still together.

Now that she wants to shoot it is time to start to prepare yourself for sharing your favorite tree stands and hunting spots...if she decides to hunt with you. Your hunting budget will double and most of your hunting spots, as I said previously, will become "ours" and in a few instances you may never hunt some of them again. My wife hunts with me and I wouldn't change it for anything. Next week we are heading for a Maine bear hunt. Will post pics when we return.
The best things in life....aren't things!

Whump, I can understand that!

Jimmerc, I hope you have as good of a time shooting with your wife as I do with mine.
Back in the day, we both shot wheelies, she'd win her class and I'd win mine.  Got a room full of stuff to prove it.
After I started shooting  Trad., I've been trying to get her to give it a try.  She shot a borrowed bow at TBOF' state shoot and had fun.  I got a friend to make her a kit longbow, and I finished it for her.  Blackberry colored stain and all, arrows the same.  (she wouldn't let me build her an Osage, cause not sure she wanted to shoot)
Anyway she's shot it a couple times at fun events.  After I got her to stop some of the wheeli habits she was drilling 'em in.
She's also my best and most favorite hunting parterner.....she let me say that!
Good luck and have fun!

Jim, you are a fortunate man.  I wish mine would take an interest.  Wish my daughter would as well.  At least my nephew has taken an interest.  BTW, I lived in Cicero for about 40 years.  Losing hunting land down there!
