Is Alaska really all that?

Well, I guess that is that. The answer is yes it is for some, and no it isn't for others. I had been looking at a 160 acre home stead on the Nanenan (sp?) river not far from Tok. Price was very tempting and the area looked nice. I'm obviously not ready for any thing you all have mentioned since I have a fairly new family. Guess I'll keep saving pennies to do the fly in thing. Thanks all for the info. I kind of expected as much, but dreams can easily get the mind going.
