I met another trad ganger today, MikeW from Garland Texas paid me a visit! We went and shot some foam at our local range here and we had a good time even if we did lose a couple arrows! I have to admit though I think he out shot me a bit!

Mike I just wanted to thank you for the oppurtunity to shoot with you, and I hope you make it up Sunday for the shoot!

If any other guys/gals in the area want to go as well there's a shoot at Illiana bowhunters this Sunday and it's always a good time. Illiana bowhunters is between Cayuga, IN and Georgetown, IL right on highway 234. If anyones interested just let me know!

man, that should be what this site is all about....

Back in February, a bunch of us from the KC area got together at the food court at Cabelas,  and put together a contact list.  We've been getting small groups together for shoots, and some of us are teamed up to go on hunts this year.  Trad Gang has given us all the opportunity to meet each other, and have a reason to introduce ourselves at "functions".  I went to MoJam a few weeks ago, and met Trad Gangers from all over the country...and not a bad banana in the bunch          :notworthy:

THAT is exactly why I post a city/location when I get parked for the weekend.
I have met several members and gone to one shoot because of Tradgang.
This is a GREAT benefit to being a member here.
Glad you guys see it that way, too!

Isn't Mike the one, that was asking about Illinois hunting opportunities, a few weeks back?

Sorry I missed this post, No Dennis thank you for the invite and the hospitality. I had a good time and enjoyed meeting your family.

I made the Sunday shoot also. Dennis, his dad and one of his sons were great company. I started out shooting very well for the first 10 targets then my shooting went south fast. I had a very enjoyable day,Dennis and his family are very down to earth and you feel like you've known him for years after a few minutes.

You ever get down to Texas you give me a hollar and we will go chase some hogs.
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

I agree with fatman, this site is all about support and group inspiration! I met Dano a couple weeks ago. I thought I was the only trad guy in all of So. Nevada and I find Dano almost literally in my back yard! How cool is that? We met at his home and visited and got to know one another, it was great!
We didn't shoot our bows..hey it was 110*f outside! But I'm sure we will, once the temps cool a bit.
I look forward to meeting other tradgangers as time goes on too!
