My bow order for an LXR is up and Kevin needs my wood choices. So if you got any RER pics please post them. I would like to see veneers too.

Currently I am thinking of a solid Zircote riser with laminations stripes; or maybe a two wood combo of Zircote and Bocote. And I think I want some type of Burl for a veneer.

Thanks for your help and input.

Joe,

See if you can get Waterfall Bubinga veneers with the Zircote and Bocote combination in the riser.

Joe,  a friend of mine just got a LXR.  It has a Katalox (real dark brown) and Bacote riser. limbs are bamboo core, Katalox wedge and  birdseye bacote. He just got it from RER. one of there stock bows.  Kevin at RER might have a pic of it. All I can say is "Stunning" and a shooter.  62" 56#@28" .........

Here is my LX riser in Cocobolo and Osage taken right after I received it.  The osage is already starting to age nicely and is looking even better as it goes.  (Sure wish I had a group like Rod's to lay my bow up against  :(   But at least my bow is pretty)

Whip, Rod didn't shoot that group...last I saw him he was bundled up in an arm sling following shoulder surgery.   :D

Actually, Rod's bow is magic - I shot it at ATAR and I'm saving my pennies now to get one just like it.  Prettiest Mexican Cocobolo I've ever seen.

Acutally, Denny Sturgis took the pic and I shot the group on Sunday before I drove home and had shoulder surgery on Tue 6/24. I can't wait untll my shoulder heals and I can play with the LX more.

Just kidding with you, Rod...of course, you probably knew that already.
Why don't you send that bow to me so I can keep it lubricated while you heal up.  I'll send it back, I promise.  :D

I don't do pics, but see if they still have waterfall ash. The grain patterns are just crazy on my recurve. What ever you choose I'm sure it will be nice to look at. Plus it will perform!!!
