I have a brand new Crow Creek Blackfeather being shipped to me as I type. The bow is 62" long draws 42# @ 29". I draw about 29 1/4". After a long discussion with a guy that has forgotten more than I know about tuning bows the other night. The conclusion was......Easton XX75 Legacy's cut to 30.5"......with most likely 125 grain tips. I have a variety of different weight tips to play with.

In your guys opinion, is this in the ballpark for this bow and my draw length.

Any other suggestions......or opinions are very much appreciated.
What if you woke up tomorrow, with only what you thanked God for today ???

Well within the ballpark I think. That's where I would start.

I had a 45# Mamba which is 58" long and used LEGACY'S 1916's. They flew great. I now shoot a Bob Lee HUNTER T/D, 48#'S and a MARTIN HUNTER one piece, 50#'S and I shoot Easton XX 75 Gamegetter 500's.( same as 2016's) Both bows are 62"s in lenght and my draw is 29. My arrows are (from end of nock to insert) 30.75" in lenght. I hunt and practice with this set up. Last season I was able to fill my freezer with 3 does using this set up. Will be using it this season once again.

Hope the info helps.

yup no problem i use 1916-2016 off all my bows as they  are all around the same poundage 45 -48 and at 26" draw and i cut the 1916 to 27" and the 2016 28" all have a 125grn head and fly awesome.

Winterhawk,
If you don't mind a black arrow, XX75 gamegetters in the 500 spine are a 2016 equivalent. I paid $49.00 a dozen at our local Gander Mountain store.
Not as pretty as the Legacy shaft but much cheaper.
If you can't fine any let me know and I'll try to get them for you here and ship them to you.
Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops had them at that price a while back but I don't know if they still do.

sure sound like what I would be using. I have a checkmate at 49 at 28 inch and draw 28 1/2 inch and cut the arrows to 29 1/2. I have used 1916 and now have gone to bemen carbon 500 size cut to 29 1/2 inch with 125 gr points and loaded the inside of the shaft with 1/8 inch poly rope to add some weight to the shaft...
