Has any of you ever used Mahagony as an arrow wood and if so how did you like it?  I just bought some beautiful 11/32 shafts that are heavy, tight grained and straight to boot they should be good hunting arrows and oh yeah they are pretty to!  Let me know if you have had any experience with them.
Luck has nothing to do with it, just Boot leather and a GWP.

I've used Mahogony for an arrow footing wood, never for the whole shaft.  Always worked very well for a footing material. dino

Ramin is in that family. Good arrow material.

Have some Mahogony scrap, thought about using for shafts. It seems to stay straight, doesn't warp, twist or bow like some woods.

Anaconda, you will have to show us the arrows made from those shafts. They should be gorgeous! That might make good foreshaft material for my cane arrows.
