I want to get some carbon Beman ics shafts to fletch myself.

what kind of glue do i need to use on my inserts.

also i have a 55# and 50# recurves i want to be able to shoot one type of shaft from these two should i get .400 Beman ICS or .500?
i don't have a cutoff saw but i thought about making a rig for my dremel. Will this work or do i just need to leave em full length and use tip weights to offset the spine?

ok thats alot of q's but i know i will get an answer. Thanks in advance!

CD,
I wouldn't glue the inserts at all at first.  You may need to cut the shafts back to get tuned.  Once you are ready to glue use 2-part epoxy.

You should have no problem using the same shafts in bows that close together in draw weight.  I'll let someone with more experience with Beman shafts suggest which one might work best.

I use my Dremel with flex shaft to cut my carbons.  I made a jig from scrap lumber.

Hope this helps,
John
Life is an adventure.  Don't miss it.

I use super glue gel. You still can heat them up if you need to remove them. But be carfull not to burn the shaft. I screw in a field point and heat that up.
Your better off with the 500's. You can leave them full lenght, should be around 32.5".
Dremel tool will work. But you need to make sure the end is cut square to the shaft.

I think your draw lenght is important.  If it's short I'd go .500.  Long and your shooting 60ish you might be better with .400.

I'm not putting up with this guys shit and dogging me.

i pull to 28 so the 50# and 55# is what i actually pull if not a little less.
