26" and 28" deflection. Conversion formula?

I understand that some companies use 28" centres rather than 26" when measuring and advertising the deflection of their arrow shafts.
Is there a formula for converting deflection at 28" into deflection at 26" so that I can compare the spine of carbons to my woodies?

Do carbon & aluminum shafts behave the same as wood shafts if the spine and point weight etc.  are the same?

PM "Cupcake"  he designed the " Spine-O-Meter". He has done the conversion table. You can check aluminium, carbon, and wood all on one tester.

Thanks Desertdude

I will drop him a line.

Multiply the 28" deflection by .825 to get the 26" deflection.

A fast way to get spine for aluminum or carbon is to divide 31.5 by the deflection (from the 28" method).

how to proceed for converting the 26" measured deflection into a 28" one (multiply the 26" deflection by 1.21?)?

Thanks. I have had the same question for a while and didn't knw how to ask.

How about a table that converts spine deflection to wood terms - 55/60 etc?
