Anyone have any photos of a bow rack made of PVC. I have some that I am gonna put to good use, and would rather see some other designs first. I'd like to make it very portable to hold a couple of bows and a handful of arrows.

That's a good one Rusty.  Thanks.  This is the one that 91stormvet builds.  I like it as well.

I sent this to a member requesting the material list.

Bow rack: 1 inch schedule 40

2pcs. 32 inches; Top and bottom frame rails

10pcs. 12 inches; 4 legs, 2 upright supports,4
bow arms

2pcs. 4 inches; These connect the 3 way at the legs to the 3 way at the bottom frame rail.

2pcs. 2 inches; connects elbow on top rail to 4 way on top support arm

2 - 4 way connectors;Attach to upright support for arms to hold bows. Then put short 2 inch piece into the top of the 4 way to attach the 90 degree elbow and top rail.

4 - tee connectors

2 - 90 degree elbows

8 - end caps

Target bag stand: 1-1/4" schedule 40

4pcs. 36 inches

2pcs. 4 inches

2 - 90 degree elbows

4 - 3 way/tees

4 - end caps; I didn't use any on the target stand myself.

I dry fit the bow stand and have used it that way for 2 yrs. now. Maybe someday I'll get around to gluing it but it doesn't cause me any problems staying together. The target stand is glued. You may be surprised how much material goes into these.

Now go build some,

It appears I left the legs off the target stand  :knothead:

I was inspired by 91stormvet's design and built myself two this morning in just 30 minutes.  Home Depot had everything I needed for $30.  I already had the pvc primer and cement, and plywood scraps.  I thought I had a piece of marine starboard for the base to make it completely weather resistant, but couldn't locate it.  I figure the plywood will need replacing every year or two, if left in the weather.  No big deal for me.

Apex, a little water sealer like Thompson and I bet the ply wood will last for years. Good looking target stand.

Rusty, that is a heck of a bow stand. With couple of hose clamps and some larger PVC you could easily add an arrow holder or two.

Thanks for the ideas fella's.
