Let me say that this bow is amazing. Of all those that i have shot and owned it is by far the best one for me.47@29" it flings a CE 150 30" long w/125grn on the tip bare shafted, like a laser. after i got it set up and tuned to me, i promptly went out and shot a rabbit in the head at 20 yards just as if i been doing it all day...(which i had at the target   :D   )I cannot believe how smooth and efficient John Maus's design is, this thing has no hand shock, no flutter and none of that squishy feeling many high end recurves have. And the grip....O man it will make any shooter drool, it may not look like much in the photos, but let me tell you  it's like it just springs from my hand. It aims where i point it with a percision that i havent had yet in any of my bows. As some of you who know of John, know how he talks some serious game, well let me just say he more than backs it up with PROOF. I carefully looked this baby over for any flaw and have yet to find any. It is a beautiful bow, but the beauty cannot even touch it's performance. Riser back is Bocote, belly is Honduran Rosewood with jewel inlay, limb core is Bamboo with 150 year old (recovered from the bottom of one of the great lakes) Curley maple facings. Thanks to John Maus.

The rosewood and bocote compliment each other perfectly.  And would you look at the tips! Wow!  Add to that the history of old wood and you've got a real keeper.  I've heard nothing but good about these bows.

Very nice! Sounds like you found a keeper!

TradPaul

Yup, everything on this bow compliments each other so well. i originally had this bow made at a lighter weight so that i can work on my form/alignment and since i've been doing that in the interim, when it came i was already well on my way. Now it's going to be my 3D bow/ small game hunter. It is a Keeper. I cant recommend these bows enough.

Heck yeah we are lucky more like blessed.

See,
The wait for me was alot shorter due to me asking him if he had any bows that he didnt make weight on, in the spec's i was looking for, well as luck would have it he did. So it only took him 7 weeks or so to get it to my door. Now if you call him and ask to be put on the list, then the wait is around 8 months, so maybe you can get luckey like i did, but it didnt sound like he had many that he didnt make wieght on. Also as far as price is concerned i got a steal. Since John hangs the bows in a opaque plastic to keep them from getting scratched he couldnt see what kind of woods were on the bow, so when he went to price it for me he went with what he wrote down on the outside of the plastic, well as fate would have it he must have forgot to put in the discription that it had reclaim curly maple facings with a bamboo core. But since John is a man of his word, after he realized this mistake he refused to let me pay for it's worth, saying he does not change the price given, whats done it done. Honest guy if you ask me. PM me and i'll give you the price of this bow.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. She is a beaut.
