I see most people who own one mention the replacement blades they're using as being 3/8". Mine definitely measures and has a 1/2" arbor which is difficult to find. What am I missing?

I have an old apple saw; 1980's from LAS. It has 1/2" arbor with a 3" blade.

Thanks! Why on earth would they use a 1/2" arbor? I wish there was a readily available shaft adapter to 3/8" that matched the stock one.

I ran into the same problem when my Weston blade finally came apart (while using...WEAR SAFETY GLASSES).

I ended up just ordering a last chance archery blade. It fit and cuts really well.
It's gotten to the point where basic common sense, about a lot of things these days, doesn't make a lot of sense to most people.
