I'll figure out how to post pics this weekend, since I have been off the site for so long.
Although a Silvertip guy now for about 20 years, I used to own two Robertson Montana Falcon takedown recurves back in the 1990's.
Had to sell due to finances at that point. Loved them.
Saw a 62", 51# Fatal Styk for sale recently and snagged it. Haven't shot off the shelf in many years, but want to give it a go again. Extreme grained bocote limbs, with cocobolo and bocote in the riser. Awesome looking bow.
Its close to the Montana Falcon in design. Most of Dick's bow line now are much smaller, slimmer recurves. I really like the look and feel of the older design.
Shot it last night after a quick brace height adjustment and nock repositioning. I was expecting some tuning to be mandatory, but hell I got lucky and it is right on. I shoot 3 fingers under, so also figured that would screw me up since all my other bows are elevated rest, but all good.
I admit I was only shooting at 15 yards, but so far I love this thing. Once I get a few dozen through it successfully, I may hunt a bit with it this year.

Glad it's working for you David; yes the recurves are slimmer these days.  I wasn't a Robertson recurve shooter but I did own quite a few of his longbows back then and luvd them.  Besides my Bighorn Ramhunter Dick's Purists were to me the best mild d/r longbows at the time.  Good luck.

Sounds like it will be a great bow for you.

My favorite bow for many years was a Robertson Vision longbow.  I finally had to part with it a year or so ago, because it was just too heavy for me and I realized I wasn't getting any younger.  Oh well, it's in good hands now, and no doubt getting plenty of use.

Technology....the knack of arranging the world so that we don't have to experience it.

I still own 6 old Robertson recurves that I don't use anymore because the high poundage around 70#. They are been my to go bows for years. Very fast and accurate bows.
