Red Dwarf

Is it practical to compress you own arrow shafts?

If so, how do you guys go about it?
What are the best methods/tools.

Red Dwarf

ps I would like to go from 11/32 to 5/16

I bought one of those compression blocks from 3Rivers, you just heat it up real hot while it is in a vise then chuck your shaft up in a drill and run it through. It takes a few to get the hang of how fast to feed it, if the shaft makes it through the process it makes a good arrow. You lose around 3 pounds of spine weight in the process.

but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

Yes Shawn, I went out behind my house this morning but heard nothing, been quiet the last couple days.
