Thinking I'm gonna use a saddle this year. Went with the buzzard roost saddle. Any body else using one?

Hello, glad thinking of saddle hunting, been doing it for a long while now.  I have not used that model but few different ones and settled on a Transformer.  Since you haven't stated your experience with one, if I may let me give you a few tips:

Find someone who has one that is close to you and try it out.  It is a different feel that a tree stand.  Also, depending on how you are built, comfort level can be different with hip pinch.
If you ever rappelled or rock climbed it gives you a little leg up on security of it.  Many people I have placed in one, was "fearful" of just trusting a rope built for it.  They do not understand that it is rated higher than most gear out there.
Practice with your saddle from the ground to learn how to navigate around the tree for a while, until you can move slowly and comfortably.  Shoot from the saddle at ground level or just 2' off it, it is a little different comfort level for me, but learned it quick.
I am not sure how well you researched it, but there are some great resources:  John at Tactisaddle is a traditional bowhunter and makes them.  Also, forum Saddlehunter, is great for gathering more information on the subject, just as this is great for traditional bowhunting.  Feel free to reach out any time.
