all this fuss over a launching platform? Crafted by a mortal? Sheesh.    ;)

Way to go Killy!  She is a beauty.  I too have a magic bow.  It was on the shelf at the Scheels store in Des Moines.  A 58" Kota Prairie Fire.  I have never shot a bow so well.  Just did not have the bank, then she was gone.  Glad you have yours!

why Kathy, that has to be the most tender thing you've ever said about me...I'm I'm...all choked up  :notworthy:    :notworthy:

Killdeer

Not as choked up as you would be if you tried selling TMB...    :readit:    :D
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Im glad for Ol' Larry.Sad for you though Killie,I think you will miss that bow.And knowing how content Larry is now will truly make you go "POSTAL"!!!!!

Killy ,    :clapper:     , perchance would I build thee a magic bow only to read thy pen.
Enamoured I would be of a book of prose penned  by your enchanted hand.
Suffice it to say that I enjoy your wit and  skill with the written word. You stroke with words as Michangelo with brush scenes that meander within the soul and cause to explore with great anticipation of that which is not yet seen, neither anticipated.
Greatness lies within your heart awaiting the strike upon the key and the indelible timelessness of the written word.

It was good too!!! Merry Christmas , Steve

Didn't understand a word that he said, but he sure talks pretty!

Ya know killdeer your not the only one that was wanting that magic bow when Larry had it in the first place LOL In fact after shooting her I now own a Centaur since somebody  sweet talked Larry out of said bow before I could   :saywhat:

If I recall that sweet talk may have involved knee caps but that coulda been another my memory sometimes mmmmmmm   :biglaugh:

Maybe I'll hold her again in Feb,my own is now in full dress and looks as purdy as she shoots I may get another someday
Shoot straight and have FUN!!

The magic bow changes season to season. It may be my brother's 50# Paul Bunyan with a missing nock tip. He died two months after my first bow season I was 11 he was 18. It may be my Father's 45# ben Pearson he died when I was 20 . It may be my Jt traditional archery appolo 2. Built by my good friend and hunting partner, it's not pretty it's dark and deadly covered in dirt and blood from many good trails. When I was a boy I was afraid of ghosts now I look forward to hunting with them every time the leaves begin to change. The bow is just a tool that collects good memories and great stories retold year after by an October fire. I only hope when I am gone someone holding a magic bow recounts a good story of mine around an October fire.
Psalms 127:3-5 New International Version (NIV)
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
