That is a very cool idea. So how does it come apart or better yet how do you put it together? Is it held together by a bolt/screw that goes in those holes on the belly of the riser? Sorry if this is a silly question.

Thanks for correcting me Kirk. I didn't think Rob was much of a recurve guy.  :biglaugh:

I got rid of all my curves years ago, except for my dad's and granddads. Yet these super curve intrigued me, so with the Sasquatch, I'll have two.

Well actually... My SS RC limbs are static tip, and have a pretty aggressive hook, But they are not really what bowyers consider a "Super curve".  The true super recurve limb designs have a larger radius hook, and require Carbon composites to maintain torsional limb stability.

When the first Super curves ame out, I spent a bit of time with a couple prototypes, and honestly i just wasn't happy with the end result. While the draw force curve was outstanding giving you that unbelievable let off feeling at the end of the draw, I didn't like the way the limbs stopped after the Elvis had left the building. There was always a bit of bounce going on with those radical hooks. Some bowyers call it "limb bulge"... I called it a "Chicken Bob" action myself... It drove me nuts! And...The performance gain just wasn't worth the fragile nature of these carbon backed limbs, and uncertain longevity. I could see they were going to be warranty nightmares for me.

So i went back to the drawing board and came up with a good design that i could get excellent performance and stability just using glass instead of carbon with much better longevity.... You wont be disappointed on performance with these SS RC limbs.

Thanks for straightening me out on the SS Kirk.

I'm fully aware of your issues with supers, such as borders, but the Centaur has non of those issues. If it wasn't for that incredible let off, I'd never know at release and return to brace if it was my longbow or my super.

No matter, I've never had a static tip recurve either... so I'm all good!  :jumper:

Here is a short video on assembly and take down instructions. Typically the bolts do not extend out past the limb pad this far, but I used a longer brass sleeve inside the riser on this one...... either way. This is important.

Well hold on to your lug nuts Terry... I'm getting ready to begin your build, as well as get started on Rob's riser....

I got side tracked on a boat trailer remodeling project this week, but it's coming down the home stretch now, so i'll be back in the shop again soon!
