The annual bowjam near Viroqua, WI was this weekend and at least 20 new selfbows sprang into action. Lots of kids - serious future bowhunters - lots of good food and fellowship amoung the shavings. Great event again!!!!!

Shaun,
That's what it is all about... Great bunch of Bowyers in that pic's... It's great to see kids doing it, then on the streets doing Drugs or Crime

I totally missed this thread Shaun and started one of my own.  :knothead:    I'll add my pics to yours too.

A beautiful setting tucked tight in a Wisconsin coulee.

Brad and Jon check out a nice piece of hickory.

The tiller tree got a good workout.

Roughing out the shape of things to come.

Darkness didn't stop the activity in the bow building tent.

Shawn Webb helps Jay check the tiller of his sons first bow.

Colin was a dedicated young man and went home with a fine bow to show for it.

Here's one for Danny Rowen.

I got lucky and had my name pulled out of the raffle jug for this beauty!

Nice pics Joe. What a great time. I just love going to that. There are so many people that are willing to help you learn to make a bow. I went with my 2 nephews and while I was busy helping Vince rough out his bow, Spence and others were helping David tiller his. Thanks to all for the help and Brad deserves a special thank you for his efforts and hospitality. He basicly empties out his shop and sets everything up under the tent for all to use. What a fantastic event from one end to the other. You have selfbows, scenery, great people, great food, and lots of laughs. I'll be back next year.

Looks like everybody had a good time and even managed to made some nice looing bows.  Hopefully I will see you all at MoJam later this year.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.
