If your state had a state wide all trad organization, would you be more inclined to join it than if it allowed both trad and high tech shooters?
Time spent alone in the woods puts you closer to God.

"Can't" never accomplished anything.

Yes. In fact, we went ahead and made one.

It depends on what I expected from the org.  If looking for a fraternal group I would prefer the trad org.  If I was wanting a group with some political/DNR influence I would have to give the nod to a broader membership base.

What do you mean by "high tech" shooters?
To me, an all trad organization means recurves and longbows.

I would probably join. I had some issues with a state run organization a few years ago and am no longer a member. Trad only I would probably join 'cause trad shooters seem like great people.

Don't think it would have the political pull but it depends on what its goals are..political influence or more fraternal.

I'm with Fletcher on this one.  Strength in numbers.  We've learned some hard lessons here in MA where so called "conservationist" put their money into politics, and sportsman put their hard earned dollars into conservation.
Guess who wins.

Yes, I am a Life Member of the Traditional Bowhunters of Montana.  In addition, I am also a Life Member of the Montana Bowhunters Association.  One organization works on a fraternal level and the other works on a political and fraternal level.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

You bet.  Like Bear said, we've started one here and it's amazing what can be done when everyone puts their heads together.

I'm a member of the Traditional Archers of NJ, but I am also planning to join the United Bowhunters of NJ (encompasses all legal bowhunting) simply because of their political clout.

I'm no more inclined to join one group than the other.

I like to hunt and spend time around any other people that are good natured and are ethical.  I don't get too much into their weapon choice as long as they are good people.

Just my 2 cents,

I think that many of us already do belong to both their state level bowhunting organization (Maryland Bowhunters Society in my case) and their state level trad bowhunting organization (Traditional Bowhunters of Maryland).

Join both if you can afford it and get the benefits of both.
