Here is a picture of my PLGA.  It is osage and rosewood and does have the old LAG style grip.

I know Jim, and you are going to let me shoot em in a month  :biglaugh:

Well, I humbly beg.

Ok, guys, you all have been more than helpful on this.  Thanks for those who posted pics.

I keep seeing LAG grips.  What does this mean?

Thanks again.

Lefty

Before the PL and PSR there was The LAG and SAG.  This was a longbow and recurve with the same style grip same as the PL and PSR share the same grip.  The difference is that the LAG/SAG was more of a recurve style grip compared to kore of a longbow style grip on the PL/PSR.  I personally like the enhanced performance of the PL compared to the LAG, but still prefer a little higher wrist in my grip, hence my PLGA with LAG style grip.

Bob Miller

I have been shooting Black Widow longbows since they where first introduced.  First the LAG's and now the PL series.  The LAG's have a palm swell that I thought I would miss when I went to the PL bows.  Not so, I really like the grip of the PL more than the LAG's.  Great bows.
Bowhunting is not just a way of life, it is also fun.

SO now you know exactly what to order. Right?
Decisions, decisions. Whatever you cant go wrong with the PL,s..or any BW for that matter.

Big Country, bacote is becoming so common that I wouldnt spend the additional money on it also some of it  has beautiful figure and others are preety plain. Osage and bamboo on the other hand give you the best of both worlds. I love the way osage changes from a bright yellow to a golden brown and if I was ordering the PLX thats the way I would go. Also the lockit socket is #1 and I wouldn't buy the bow without it. But thats me and you have to love it so enjoy your choice in any event you wont go wrong with a Widow.

I'm with Bob,  shot the LAGs and prefer the new PL grip, but other people like Lefty prefer the old LAG. This will be a key point in how the bow shoots for you.

The Locket-Socket is great. It adds a little mass weight that I like the feel of too.

This is one of the reasons I love Widow longbows-

I was filling out the order form, and then changed my mind again.  I think I am going to wait until the Balt Trad Classic, and see if a few has some I could look at.
