What serving material on new string

Im trying a new string maker ordering a few b55 strings for a miller longbow. He has an extensive selection of serving wraps though,,,, i never really gave it any thought i always just said put on the normal..  but this time i have to pick one.....

Im shooting wooden arrows with bohning classic nocks, i do file off the inside bumps to make them similar to mercury speed nocks.

So B55 string for 48# bow what wrap is the preferred?

Ted,  I'm looking at this and I'll just throw my 2 cents in for all it's worth ......  are you asking for what model/make of center serving or what diameter serving material?   
I'd say your diameter would be most important,   as most center servings are pretty up to the task quality wise.
Your string maker should know what diameter center serving you're gonna need,  based on that nock you are going to be shooting.  I have all my strings for years now,  made by Pierre at Silent But Deadly.   I shoot the same exact nock you plan on using on MY wood arrows,  when I shoot wood....which is about 50% of the time.   I tell Pierre the string will be served for the Bohning Classic  and I tell him the manufacturer spec for the nock gap, just for the sake of it,  though I feel I don't need to mention that to him.....I believe he already knows .... (forget off the top of my head what that one is) and when I get the string,  it is a PERFECT FIT!
Your string builder is going to know how many strands of B-50,  and how he/she does their serving....may wrap it tighter or have some trade nuance/technique they incorporate that may effect the overall diameter when finished.  They know how they make their strings.   If you provide the nock gap spec,  they should be able to serve it to the diameter you require.  I can only imagine that if a string maker insisted in every case that the buyer select a diameter of center serving,  there would be a lot of finely made strings going out to shooters that couldn't use that string to is potential,  because they provided the string maker with the wrong diameter center serving.....because they don't know as much about strings as the string maker.

I like halo. I have several different sizes and experiment until I find the nock fit I like for a given string, then keep notes. But I also build my own strings and play around with different materials.

I've also used powergrip, and it works well too. Strand count, material type, and how tight the serving jig is can all make a difference.

I chose the #42 braid i think it was but i told maker i was using bohning classics and to just use whats best.  I do find myself running the side of a broadhead file thru many arrow nocks so they feel more like the old mercury speeds
