Went chasin pigs yesterday afternoon and this is all I have to show for it.  It sure is beautiful in the cypress swamps this time of year!  I was within 15' of a big ole rank boar, but he was having nothing to do with it!

I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!

we're still waiting to see some green up here.

A Gobbler yelp Spring or Fall is a long conversation.

Swamp irises! Way cool!
I can smell the rotting muck, hear the peepers...swamp sweetbells will bloom soon, you can smell them clear across the marsh. You are a fortunate man.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

It`s been a tough winter.

I have been whispering to my apple trees, and even though the ground is still frozen, I can see the buds on the ends of the branches are starting to swell. The snow has been reduced to stubborn piles and heavy shade, and you can  FEEL the promise of spring.

Shoot that boar before he eats that beautiful flower.

Green is good.

Have I mentioned it`s been a long winter?
