I was wondering based upon the thread regarding amberboo/action boo..

It seems like Tonkin Cane Bamboo Natural Bamboo is a superior limb core.

What is Tempered Bamboo???

Is it nautral Bamboo that is heat treated someway?

Why would one need to temper it, and is it a good core wood?

Thank you

JCJ

Depends on who you talk to as to whether it's a superior limb core.  Some bowyers love it, some won't use it, some are indifferent.  My guess is it depends on whether or not the bow was designed around that specific limb material.

Like was said, some like it some hate it.  I hate it.  And that is a statement it seems almost everyone likes to disagree with.
