what is a yewwood stave worth ?? i am thinking of putting up some for sale . that and lams

rascal

Im sure it depends on the stave, if you look on the site that must not be named that has a jillionbillion auctions you might find a reasonable range.
Hunt fair, hunt hard, no regrets.

sealevel,

See "www.murraysluys.com" this fellow sells yew staves out of B.C. too.

What the worth of the stave is, I don't know.

Probably depend on the quality of the yew, itself.

What are you planning on asking for your staves?

sealevel

i have no idea thats why i asked . I am use to giving them away. I would like to trade some wood . for a laminated long bow .

R.W.

Well, you may find a taker on that offer.

And, if you make a deal, that makes two people happy!

Do you have a lot of yew in your area? I grew up in Kimberley, B.C. Don't remember hearing much about yew trees as a kid.

sealevel

there`s lots but it is potected so you have to get it on private land or proposed cut blocks .

Merv,
PM send.
Regards, Bert.
