My Uncle let me borrow a Bear bow for a while and I am wondering...

what year is it? (he thinks it is from the 70's), and can I shoot a fast flight string? Thanks for any info guys.

I have one just like it with the k serial number. The k means they are from 72 - 78. Definately no fast flight.

Thanks for the information guys!

The first K's appeared in the serial number in 1970..But I would say your bow is a 1973-1975 Grizzly.Raised button, with furture wood riser???? bowdoc

Any idea on a suggested brace height?

Raineman

Based on your serial #, and some limited documentation I have, I would put your bow at 1974. I think she would be happy with a brace height of between 7 1/4"- 7 3/4", with a nicely tuned Flemish B50, with 16 strands.

Allowing her to wear anything other than Dacron may result in her early demise. Nice bow....treat her well. She looks to have a ton of life left in her.

Thanks for everyones help. I should have her shooting by the weekend   :archer:
