i shoot 3 fingers under, started that way and i prefer it.

but iv always noticed that if i mess around shooting split finger or shoot with some one else that shoots split finger i notice it is a lot quieter than 3 fingers under.

why is this?..

hard to say, might be a cleaner loose....

It changes the tiller slightly. Very few bows are really tillered for 3 under regardless of spec. MHO

I think it's the tiller also. At the same time, putting more pressure below the arrow will always be noisier. If you have a bow tillered to shoot off the shelf split and you put on a raised rest that would throw the tiller off the other way but still is noisier when shot 3 under.IMHO

raise the nocking point slightly.  it will still be a nit louder but it will help
