I was milling around a local archery shop, and ran across a very nice 50's style recurve that assume was made by Mr. Ron LaClair, called a LaClair Special. Can anyone give me any info on this bow; approximately when it was made, value, etc. Such a nice piece of craftsmanship, that I am thinking about picking it up if I can get the $$. Thanks.

It's a pre Super Shrew era bow that I believe was made by Saxon Archery for Ron. I've seen some of the pre Super Shrew era Shrew longbows selling for around $300 here in the classifieds.
