Wow, thanks Arrow k9! Great pics.  That helps for sure. I am expecting the bow tomorrow.  I sure like the looks of his recurve as well. Might have to end up with one of those some day.  I am starting light for my first traditional bow (46 @ 28).  Killdeer graciously shared some arrows with me.  I am thinking the 1916 might be a good start.  What do you think?

:-) Thanks to you too Molson...I didn't even notice there was a second page until my reply showed. I agree...the bows are beautiful, but I intend to hunt with mine.  "Character marks" may be inevitible, but I love to be in the woods.  Taking my first game with traditional equipment will be a real treat I am sure.

Yeah Doc it was all I could do not to buy that one when you posted it.  That is one nice Taipan.

A lot of folks say JD's bows are too pretty to take in the woods. I figure there's no sense owning something you're worried about using.  Those Taipans are great bows.  They belong in the woods!

Glad you liked the pics. JD also puts some real good spirt mojo on his stuff to. Doc I love that ivory on your bow. Sorry you had to sell it.

I have an Appollo and Dan is building me a recurve right now...I hope
Awesome, talented, and gifted bowyer.

My other post was wrong. I should have said that it is James building me the new recurve.
Dan...if you see this, tell James to take his time, but hurry up every chance he gets  :)

Billy I read that and though "OH MY GOD" I better get started on that recurve if I am going to build it, lol.

I don't know if this has been asked, but how long do you have to wait for one.

I bought one when they did an interview in TBM, which was a while ago, and the wait was 1 year.

More than a week and less than six months. It depends on how many orders JD has goin at the time.  It is about two and a half months right now.
