First off I would like to thank all those that contributed with their experience, and they're wonderful offers of help.

I have come to the conclusion that since I already have a guided bear hunt scheduled, I will not be going out elk hunting this year.  It will probably the best because it will give me the time for next year to prepare both physically and financially, (provided I stop buying bows).  I really appreciate all the effort to everyone who has given me any advice.  Again, this is a great site with a bunch of great people.

I am looking forward to using my " Whip " on the bear, and I'd just purchased another bow, 1969 Kodiak Magnum, it should be here by Wednesday, and my "Whip" by Thursday.

For some reason I find myself going to do traditional classifieds first thing !

I need a good therapist !  :biglaugh:

Looking forward to the bear hunting, and I have already lined up taxidermist, to rug my bear.  He's realy reasonable, and very good at his craft.

Thanks Everyone

Seven or six years ago, OK OK 8 years ago, I turned "50", and I went to the golf store and bought two sets of clubs, one for me and one for my wife.(Only that doesn't work with Bows) semi-retired out of my business, and I did nothing but golf for a year.

When I get my two bow, I just may have to semi- retire again, just so I can get used to to the learning curve, between the longbow and the recurve !  :bigsmyl:

The recurve I purchased for my ground blind, but my "Whip" is 62" and it will probably be just fine.  Maybe I overreacted but nothing like a vintage bear bow.
