The best bow I ever shot had a straight grip traditonal handle with very little contour.  It was not what I consider a howard hill handle which to me is more triangular on cross section.  this was more blocky/rectangular on cross section.  The closest picture I can give is Cooks El Gato.

the second criteria is limb design.  I like a really heavy reflex/deflex, and am even considering carbon in the limb.

It seems the guys that build limbs like that don't want to put such a traditional handle on their bow, and the guys who build handles like that don't have the limb design I'm looking for.

I would also like this bow to be a 2 piece take down.

Does anyone have any ideas on who might be building bows like this?

Longbow Tom

Buy a glued up blank and put any grip you want on it.
Seven Lakes Longbows has a reflex deflex model that comes almost finished.  I think the Old Master Craftsman is gluing up blanks now also.

A liberty elite might work.  Maybe not be enough r/d for you though.

You might have a tough time finding it used, but most bowyers will put whatever grip on a bow you want.  Many of them started building their own bows 'cause they couldn't find what they wanted on the rack.  They understand personal preferences.  Contact Jim Reynolds at Thunderstick.  His Moab and T'stick III are great bows with lots of D/R.

21st Century has made models with that grip. They come up used once in a while, though I've never seen a takedown one.

Dwyer Dauntless might also work.
