Ben Pearson Golden Crusader?

Anyone here ever shoot a Ben Pearson Golden Crusader? I saw it advertised in a bowhunting magazine published in 1961. The bow was 54 inches long and looked like it would be nice treestand bow. I will probably never get to it, but I have thought about imitating it as a project to make my own bow.
Any advise welcome.
