We are excited about two NEW heads from Magnus for 2008.  Magnus has introduced BuzzCut broadheads in the 150 grain weight so popular with traditional archers.

150 Grain 2 Blade BuzzCut - This is an exciting development.   The first two blade Stinger in the popular 150 grain weight, and a BuzzCut to boot!  The ferrule on this head has been substantially beefed up.  Coupled with the Magnus Diamond Tip, this is clearly the strongest Stinger ever offered.  These should be just the ticket for hogs and heavy game, or anyone needing an extra strong dedicated 2 blade screw in head.

150 Grain 4 Blade BuzzCut -  The 150 grain 4 blade Stinger has proven the most popular with Traditional archers, and for good reason.  Now this popular head is available in the BuzzCut serrated version.  Extra cutting provided by the double sharpened bleeders with the wicked BuzzCut main blade attack.  The main blades on both these new heads are sharpened on the back as well.  Simply wicked!

Here is a look at the 2 Blade 150 BuzzCut.  Notice the trailing edge of the blade is now sharpened.

Here's a comparison against one of my older 150 grain 4 blade Stingers, you can really see the beefed up ferrule here:

I am going to have to try some of these new 2 blade 150's this fall.  The 150 4 blade is a fantastic head and our most popular Stinger, now those of you who want that extra wicked Stinger Buzzcut attack in a heavier weight can have it!

We have these heads in stock now and ready to ship, competitively priced too!

They are available here:  http://www.braveheartarchery.us/new_page_3.htm

I'm pretty cranked about these new heads and wanted to share.   :jumper:

Good hunting all, Tim @ Braveheart

I would thing hair and tissue would clog the serations. I have never tried the head it just looks like a problem.  I would like to hear comments.  Thank you.

Used to hunt with Magnus heads that we self serrated with chainsaw files. Were very effective, didn't notice any problems other than dragging dead animals (deer and Elk). There was a head by Journeyman called the Raptor that I think was real popular with Ron LaClair and his group for awhile. Maybe he could add to this.

Tim, Any word when you might be getting the new Grizzlies???

I'm afraid I've no idea when the new Grizzlies will come to fruition.  Grizzly is so far in the hole on regular production stuff right now it's not looking to be anytime soon.   "[dntthnk]"   We'll try to get them as soon as we can though.

It looks like the first new single beveled head to make it out is going to be from Zwickey.

More good news, for those of you who prefer the original Stinger over the BuzzCut.  Magnus is also introducing a 150 grain 2 blade Stinger in the original style.   :knothead:    but we will soon!

String Cutter, I was referring to the No Mercy which will be out soon in a single beveled version.  STOS is working on similar goodies as well but will be behind Zwickey for introduction.

Eddie... there's been people questioning serrated broadheads "fat and hair clogging" potential as long as I've been in this sport.

In 50 years, I've seen nothing to support these fears... it simply doesn't happen.

The Buzzcut is one wicked broadhead and I'm happy to see it in a beefed up version.

I like the look of those. Are they glue-on versions available? I really like the back edges that are sharpened!  ;)

Those Buzzcuts sure sounds like a winner.Almost makes me want to break out my Alum. arrows again.   But I've really been dyin for those new Grizzlies. Seems he put the bevel on the wrong side for a right handed person???

May have to try some out. Looks like a great head.

mp, It is our intent to bring in the single beveled Zwickeys as soon as they are available to us.

It looks like this year is going to be a banner year for some new heads to try out!   :D
