Looking for some input for the guys on stand/ladder combinations.  I use a ratchet on North Star stand and ladder. The stand is great!  Very light and it has a big base.  And it is not even the largest aluminum stand that they make.  The problem is the ladder.  It is light but when I attach it to the stand,  the ladder sections are so long that they hit the back of my legs.  But the bad part is that they can be noisy when being put together.  Looking for suggestion for a new light weight ladder.  Something I can strap onto the stand that is light and easy to carry.  Like I said, the North Star ratchet stand is great.  I just need a ladder that is light and will not be so noisy when put it up.

Try putting electrical tape on the male ends of the ladder to silence them.

Loggy Bayou brush ladders are light packable and user friendly you may want to buy an extra section though, a little low at 15' unless you can really tuck it in. 20' is nice and they are cheap also!

I use Rapid Rails and I hear the Lone Wolf sticks are very good, too.  These are lightweight and shorter than the regular climbing stick sections.
