Favorite footwear for stalking

I have a burning desire this year to do more hunting on the ground via still hunting or stalking, kinda take a break from the norm and try to get a fat doe this way. Normally I use rubber LaCrosse 800 gram Thinsulate boots, but they are not quiet enough in my opinion. What do you ground pounders use to stay sneaky?

bear feet here in new zealand in the summer and diving boots in the winter

A good Ol pair of Chuck Taylor's high tops. Light weight and easy to wash. Get the white ones and dye them green......Just a thought......

i always take my boots off when i go to stalk mode, so socks
