Mountain Muffler Strings??

Have heard some talk about these strings and was wondering if anyone had any input here about them.Are they as good as I've heard they are??

I bought one. Thought the puffs at the ends were a bit much and removed them. If you need that much puff on a string (at the limb tips)to quite a bow then you have other problems that need looking into. IMHO.

Never tried one on a recurve, but had one on a widow longbow, worked fine, but not really any better than the std widow d97 string with 4 woolie whispers.  How's the woodland hunter shooting?

MM strings work really good for recurves,I don't see much advantage of them for a longbow other then having 4 wool puffs.I like to make my own strings and I like bow hush for recurves I can add myself,I don't use bow hush for a longbow.MM strings are excellent strings,last I heard it was 6-8 weeks to order one.

  The Tomahawk shoots great,I really like it.Very nice length.Only issue is I'm having a tough time trying to quiet it when shooting.Not sure if it just sounds a little loud to me,or if it is a little loud.Got 2 sets of muskrat balls on it now and have been playing around with brace height to see if that helps.

  I wasn't necessarily looking to get them for the wool puff balls,more for the string quality.I have heard they were very good strings and was just curious about other gangers experiences with them.I would be putting them on longbows,about all I shoot anymore.I do have the bow hush on my last remaining recurve and they work like a champ.

Had several of them and to be honest I didn't care much for how they shot.  Certainly well-made but overly stiff and not particularly quiet.  The strands are very tightly wound all the way to and through the loops.  I've found that a standard D97 flemish string made with supple (not too tight) padded tips and loops works better for limiting noise and string slap on recurves.

my favorite string...and I make all of my own strings when I can't get one of them.  They are the best I have found to quiet almost any bow and the little woolly in the loops does the trick.  I make them using 450+ for every bow I own.

What Bob said, bowhush will work just as well but ya do it yourself which I kind of like to do. Shawn

Good strings but I no longer use them. The last 4 I ordered came to me too short. Long lead time and I had to send them back to be redone. Yes, I gave all the correct information when I ordered them. I now use bowhush and hush puppies.

I love mine. I have them on my Zipper and my Border and both bows (already quiet in the first place) are deadly silent. The strings are durable (I whack my arm guard a lot) and they fray very little. Besides, I like the way the wool puffs look. Something more asthetic to add to an already beautiful bow. They are worth the money, especially if you don't want to do all of the work of "hushing" the bow yourself.

Good string but differcult to get in a timely manner. Very quiet.
