would you be able to post some pics of the riser? the limb angles may be to much for a longbow, but might work for a recurve.

welder123

There's info on doing a recurve using this riser on tradtalk.

Kevin I made the limb with actionboo core and fiddleback maple/rosewood veneers under .040 glass. Not sure what you could use for backing on an all wood limb. I've heard that fiberglass sheetrock tape is pretty much bombproof but doesn't look too good. Left is best!!!    :archer:

Kevin I see on another site they said that the limb pocket angles would be too flat for recurve limbs but that should be just right for longbow limbs. The drywall tape I've heard that is used is the fiberglass type that is like a course screen.

welder123

ya i got the fiberglass screen stuff should i have to modify the limb pockets then, like ya would for recurve limbs

I wouldn't think so but you could put a straight edge in the pocket and compare it to a picture of a takedown longbow to see how close it is. I'd bet you wouldn't have to change a thing. The flat angle is a benefit with a longbow
