I currently shoot CE Heritage 150's with 175 gr. heads. Shafts are 28.5". Draw weight is 51# @ 27" longbow. Total arrow weight is 525 gr. Everything flies great, but I want to use a 100 brass insert with my 145gr. heads totaling around 250gr. which should bump my total weight up around 600gr. If I do this will I have to go to the CE 250's??

Gitnadoix

Outa my 56# Chekmate Crusader those 150's at 29 1/4 have flown just fine with every thing out front from 125 grain tips to 250 grain tips, they seem to have a very wide ranging sweet spot...seems odd.

I have found that the lenght of the shaft is more critical than the point weight. I have shot from 165gr to 275gr with the same lenght arrow (Heritage 150) it flew well with all points tested.....Mark

I think you will be fine going up in point weight. try a couple arrows from your set up with the new point and broadhead weight and see how they fly.

Test them as is with 200 and 250 gr points before you pull the inserts.
