Im looking for a low poundage bow for my wife, and I came across these:

1. Hoyt Xpert 23# 63" long
2. Darton Clipper 29# 60" long
3. Wing Falcon 35# 62" long

They each have handling marks that are common with age, but in nice usable condition.

Which would be the best choice under $100

I figure if my wife dosent take into the trad thing, I could use it myself as a nice trainer, or make my $$$ back in the classifieds.

And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

I would go with the Falcon @ 35# just for huntability (is that a word).
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

If your gonna give your wife a baseball mit, make sure it fits your hand. You will like the Falcon.

Not to be like everybody else... I'll say the 35# Falcon!

If you can,  let her pick.  If it is up to you ,  the Falcon would be a great choice.  Good luck.

Killdeer

Depends on how strong she is. Has she drawn a bow before? Repeatedly? She may need a lower poundage than 35 to start. She needs to be in on the selection process.

Agree with Killdeer on the poundage thing...My wife ended up shooting about 24 - 25 lbs. the best. She won the NC State Trad Womens recurve championships with that poundage bow this year....

Yup, poundage.  I have one full grown daughter that is comfortable at 25, my wife likes a 30 Falcon but for short periods loves my Dad's 40, and the smallest one shoots 36.

Bear Grizzlies perform quite well at low poundage and shorter draws.  The handles fit women's and men's grip very nicely.  the women in our family do well with them.

My wife is a strong petite little thing. I thought she could handle 40 pounds easily. She can shoot it but struggles after a few targets on the range. She is shooting 30 pounds now and is real comfortable with it. She doesnt plan on huntin so it's workin for her. Go low to start.
