I am getting ready to put some inserts for a bow fishing reel in my sons bow. Will regular old 2 part epoxy work or should I buy some special epoxy like used for takedown longbow sleeves? These inserts are like the kind used for the Qwikee quiver and will be mounted in the riser in a piece of Bocote. Steve

I have used a regular slow set epoxy with good results.

Hi Steve,I've used hot melt with pretty good luck.Kinda heat the bushing a little with a matching thread screw, screwed into the bushing (not to hot)smear on a little hot melt. And shove it into the hole, wipe off excess before it hardens.bd

I've used 2 ton epoxy on several,I use a q-tip to carefully spread vaseline or crisco or bear grease or whatever around the hole on the wood, when set just peel off excess glue.
Stay sharp, Kenny.
