Does anybody make a trad looking quiver that will mount on.......

....riser inserts for a Kwickee style quiver?  There are so many bows that have those inserts, especially older bows.  The regular Kwickee quiver works fine but they need to make something not so "compound" looking.  The quick-ee attach/detach fitting is expendable as far as I'm concerned, a couple of hex-bolts would be fine.

I couldn't find one so I asked a local leathersmith to "traditionalize" a few Kwik-3 quivers for me. The leather wrap really gives them a nice look and also serves to quiet the quiver down when I'm busting through brush.

I've been using Kwikee quivers for twenty years for a few good reasons. First and foremost, NO other quiver can be attached/detached as quickly and effortlessly as a Kwikee. I also like the Kwikee quiver because I prefer not to wrap rubber, velcro, etc. around the limbs of my bows. Another nice feature of the Kwikee quiver is that it can be used on multiple bows - recurve or longbow . Many quivers out there are made for either a recurve or a longbow, but not necessarily both.

i could never keep the kwikee quiet.I didn't have that model though,but a little bit older one.BTW,does anyone remember the one that kwikee made that slipped on you bow limbs and had no cover..     fall down and get 3 or 4 razor sharp heads in your leg...

Just because a bow has mounting brackets, doesn't restrict it to that kind of quiver. Any strap-on will do you well, and I've found no more gorgeous and functional and fair-priced than Thunderhorn, easily googled. Good luck, dave

You might do a search, someone posted either here or on *********** a pattern you could cut out to leather wrap your Kwikee quivers.  If I can find it, I'll post it.  Never mind, here is the link.  Maybe the fellow will still email you the pattern.

That Widow-Kwikee and those on the LW link look real nice.  Guess that's the way to go, modify the existing Kwickee. You'd think they'd want to cash in on the growing trad market.  Thanks all for your input.  Doug

I'll snap a close up tomorrow and post it. In short, Kwikee makes, for lack of a better description, a "spacer" of the same l x w x d dimensions as the fastening bracket. This is placed between the bracket and the bow and provides an extra 1/4" of clearance.

Prior to Kwikee coming out with the Kwik-3, I formerly used the Kwik-2 (for over a decade). Your perception of the older Kwikees is accurate-they could be noisey. I was able to stop the vibration on the older models by using a rubber spacer which I cut to size from a bicycle tire tube.

The newer models are designed differently and are in fact quiet. That said, I still have to ocassionally put string wax on the threads of the screws that attached the bracket to the bow. But there is no noticeable vibration or noise associated with the new models.
