I'm interseted in building a couple bows from Choke Cherry and Black Locust but I've never worked with either type.  I could use some help, like what weight of bow would they make, length, width ect.?
Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know anything about choke cherry, but black locust makes a nice self bow.  I believe it's a member of the osage family, or is it vice versa.  Anyway, it's physically lighter but has a fair amount of snap to it, and easier to work than osage.  Makes a good bow.

Locust  should  be  made  wider  than osage to achieve  the same weight. It's not  related  to osage  though.
